Education & Event Series
In-Person educational workshops about health, hormones and so much more
I believe some of the best conversations about health happen outside of the exam room.
The Living Room was created to provide a comfortable space where you can learn, ask questions, and have open conversations about topics that often don't get enough time during a routine office visit.
My goal isn't to convince you that you need treatment. My goal is to help you better understand your health so you can make informed decisions with confidence. Whether you leave with answers to a question you've had for years or simply a better understanding of your options, I hope you'll leave feeling more informed, more empowered, and more confident than when you arrived.

The Truth About Hormones, Healthy Aging & Feeling Like Yourself AgainWho Should Attend
Women who are experiencing symptoms of perimenopause or menopause, considering hormone replacement therapy, or simply wanting to better understand how hormones affect their health and quality of life.
What We'll Discuss
Hormones influence far more than hot flashes!
They affect your brain, heart, bones, muscles, metabolism, sleep, mood, skin, sexual health, and overall quality of life. Yet many women are told their symptoms are simply part of getting older, or are left feeling confused by conflicting information about hormone replacement therapy.
During this conversation, we'll discuss what really happens during perimenopause and menopause, why symptoms often begin years before your periods stop, and how estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone work together to support healthy aging.
We'll also spend time separating fact from fiction by addressing many of the misconceptions surrounding hormone replacement therapy, including breast cancer risk, cardiovascular health, blood clots, the Women's Health Initiative study, bioidentical hormones, and who is, and isn't, a good candidate for treatment.
Whether you're simply looking for answers or actively considering hormone therapy, you'll leave with a better understanding of your options and the confidence to make informed decisions about your health.

Understanding Insulin Resistance, Metabolism & Sustainable Weight Loss
Who Should Attend
Adults struggling with weight gain, insulin resistance, prediabetes, metabolic syndrome, or difficulty losing weight despite healthy habits.
What We'll Discuss
If you feel like you're doing everything "right" but the scale refuses to move, this conversation is for you.
We'll explore why weight gain is often about much more than calories, including the roles of insulin resistance, hormones, inflammation, sleep, stress, and metabolism. You'll learn why some people lose weight easily while others struggle, how insulin affects nearly every organ system, and why identifying insulin resistance early can dramatically improve your long-term health.
We'll also discuss lifestyle strategies, nutrition, exercise, GLP-1 medications, continuous glucose monitoring, and personalized approaches to achieving sustainable weight loss.
-
Understanding the Changes No One Talks About
Who Should Attend
Women experiencing vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, decreased sensation, difficulty achieving orgasm, bladder leakage, or other intimate health concerns.
What We'll Discuss
Many women silently accept changes in intimacy as "just part of getting older."
The truth is that these symptoms are incredibly common, and in many cases, highly treatable.
We'll discuss why these changes occur, how hormones affect vaginal and pelvic tissue, and the treatment options available to restore comfort, confidence, bladder control, and sexual function.
Topics include vaginal atrophy, stress urinary incontinence, painful intercourse, decreased arousal, orgasmic dysfunction, vaginal estrogen, FemiLift, Alma Duo, and regenerative treatment options.

Looking Beyond the TSH
Who Should Attend
Individuals with hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's disease, thyroid symptoms, persistent fatigue, or "normal" thyroid lab work despite ongoing symptoms.
What We'll Discuss
Many people continue to struggle with fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, constipation, dry skin, hair loss, depression, and anxiety despite being told their thyroid is normal.
We'll discuss how the thyroid functions, the differences between hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's disease, why symptoms don't always match a single lab value, and what comprehensive thyroid evaluation really looks like.
You'll also learn about thyroid medications, autoimmune disease, nutrition, and the role thyroid health plays in overall wellness.
-
Finding the Root Cause
Who Should Attend
Men and women experiencing hair thinning, excessive shedding, or changes in hair density.
What We'll Discuss
Hair loss is often a symptom, not the problem itself…
We'll discuss the many causes of hair loss, including hormonal changes, thyroid disease, iron deficiency, nutritional deficiencies, inflammation, stress, and genetics.
You'll learn how hair loss is evaluated, what laboratory testing may be appropriate, and the treatment options available, including Alma TED and personalized treatment plans.
-
Understanding the Gut's Role in Whole-Body Health
Who Should Attend
Anyone experiencing bloating, constipation, diarrhea, acid reflux, food sensitivities, IBS, fatigue, skin conditions, autoimmune disease, or chronic inflammation, or anyone interested in learning how gut health impacts overall wellness.
What We'll Discuss
The health of your gut influences far more than your digestion.
Your gut plays a critical role in your immune system, hormone balance, metabolism, brain function, skin health, and inflammation throughout the body. When the gut isn't functioning properly, the symptoms can extend far beyond the digestive tract.
During this Living Room conversation, we'll discuss the gut microbiome, intestinal permeability ("leaky gut"), food sensitivities, chronic inflammation, and common digestive disorders such as IBS. We'll also explore how gut health may contribute to fatigue, brain fog, autoimmune disease, skin conditions, and hormone imbalance.
You'll learn what a comprehensive gut health evaluation may include, the role of advanced testing such as stool analysis when appropriate, and practical strategies to support a healthier digestive system.
